The film was hit on the box office and was the second-highest-grossing movie of 2008. In 2010 Anushka Sharma appeared in the movie 'Badmash Company with Shahid Kapoor, Vir Das and Meiyang Chang. The film received mixed reviews. That same year Anushka Sharma appeared in the movie 'Band Baaja Baaraat' alongside Ranveer Singh in the role of a middle class Punjabi girl who launches her own business of wedding planning. It received positive reviews. Anushka completed her three-film deal in partnership with Yash Raj Films after Band Baaja Baaraat.
